Hello and welcome! My name is Ace and I’m located in Melbourne, I’m a freelance web designer and personal assistant. I have been building websites in one form or another since 2005 and the days of Tripod, Geocities, and Angelfire. I specialise in easy-to-use, affordable websites for small businesses, sole traders, clubs, and Not For Profits.
I’ve always been passionate about helping people and if that means doing this sort of thing at an affordable price that everyone can hopefully afford then so be it. If you can’t afford the prices then I’m always happy to negotiate. Just because you’re tight on cash doesn’t mean you should go without.
My motto? Just ask! You never know, I’ll probably say yes.
On a more personal level, I’m in my 30s and lives in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. I currently suplement my income from my freelance work by working as a personal assistant in the legal sector. I”m also a strong advocate for equal rights for everyone. I’m an active and dedicated member of the Australian Greens, volunteering for them both in and out of election periods as well as volunteering for the National Trust of Victoria and a Seniors IT Computer Club.
I identify as neurodivergent having received diagnoses of Inattentive ADHD (ADD) and Autism, though I strongly believe you don’t need a formal diagnosis to know you have them, self-diagnoses are completely valid and I self-diagnosed for years before having a formal diagnosis. I also suffer from anxiety, depression, among other things.
I, also identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I typically use the word Queer to describe myself in relation to both gender and sexuality and use they/them pronouns.
I’m also a giant nerd. In my spare time, I collects books, especially old ones, and attempts to read. I enjoy fantasy, science-fiction, fantasy, politics, books about race & gender, etc, and especially young adult novels. I also enjoy Dungeons and Dragons and currently play as a Human Wizard. I also write and am trying to finish a couple of pieces of original work in the hope of eventually having them published.
I’m also a collector of many things, but specifically a big fan of collecting soft toys and old books from the 1800 and early 1900s. All books are amazing though.
